Yes, it’s true that the heating only works when it feels like it, and you can still sometimes hear the soft humming of the drills (What? Renovation work behind schedule? Never!), BUT, we have created the perfect Christmas atmosphere in our shop! (Come and see it for yourself on Tuesday 13 December, but I’ll tell you a little bit about it here too!)

CELEBRATE THE SWEDISH BEFORE CHRISTMAS WITH US
The Holiday season is also an opportunity to keep traditions alive, especially for the French- Swedish guy that I am. In December, all the windows in Sweden are lit up with candles and candelabras, creating a warm inviting light that almost makes you forget the polar cold of the country. At Cinabre, we too decided to light up our shiny new boutique with candles. We sourced our candles from the Ciergerie des Prémontrés, the last traditional French candle factory located in Provence, which still makes candles "à la louche", a technique dating from the Middle Ages that involves using a ladle. The candles last 3 to 5 times longer than industrial candles. If you want to dress up your home (or save energy), you can buy one of the 6 different colors and vintage candle holders at our store. To experience the magic of our candle-lit boutique, meet at nightfall on Tuesday 13 December for Saint Lucia’s Day (Sankta Lucia, the bearer of light). In Sweden, it’s a bit like a pre-Christmas teaser celebrating the longest night of the year (shortest day) and helps people hold on until Christmas. They’re pretty good those Swedes! It’s the perfect opportunity to fill Santa’s sleigh! Enjoy !
