Cinabre's got rhythm

CONTAINMENT MUSIC

Since the containment started, our daily rhythm has changed. From time to time, I take the opportunity to mix in the evening. Suddenly the minutes beat faster. Suddenly the energy spreads louder. I decided to turn the volume up even more: today we launch our first Cinabre Mix. We wanted to send you some feel good music ( which have not been heard too often).

3 PERFECT TRACKS FOR YOUR CONTAINMENT

The perfect track to dance on your sofa: Lady of the Night from Ray Martinez & Friends. Disco music from the 80's, mixed by the “Coconuts Recording Studio” in Miami (it's quite something!). You might immediatly start to dance and forget that your home is desperatly missing a glitter ball...

The perfect track to travel very far away : Te Pure a Ter Fatu. Last week, I've been listening on and on to the music of this Polynesian choir which consists of 126 inhabitants from the Rapa Iti island (500 inhabitants in total). Your next trip: the French Polynesian islands.

The perfect track to relax : Nothing to lose from Claudine Longet, a remixed version from the French DJ Dimitri from Paris. Between Brazilian bossa and elevator music, this track is delightedly kitsh. It is also the original soundtrack of the famous movie The Party with Peter Sellers (to be added in your to-view list). Claudine Longet's dramatic destiny would deserve an HBO show. She was a young and adorable French singer/actor who almost made a breakthrough in Hollywood in the late 60'...

THE CINABRE MIX: HANDMADE IN PARIS

On Friday evenings, I used to play as a DJ, with the resident DJ Mehdi, at le Dancing, the rooftop bar of la Brasserie Barbès (a very cool spot by the way, in Paris 18th arrondissement). The dance floor has a great view on the Parisian elevated railway. The last few weeks, I moved the dance floor to my own flat and I started to mix from my Montmartre balcony with a great view on the City of Light.

At 8:00pm (right after the applaus dedicated to the medical staff) I keep my windows wide open and I start djing for 30 minutes. It is live on Cinabre instagram and for all the appartment blocks in the surroundings. Stay tuned on Cinabre instagram for the next live.

Cinabre plays his vinyls on a Youtube channel where you will find my latest mix. Warning : the transitions are not always perfect as the mix have not been made with a computer. It is similar to our bow ties : they are not perfectly symmetrical, and that's - what I believe - make them so chic. You can recognize it was handmade one by one.

THE AMAZONIAN SYMPHONY

Last but not least, an inspiring sound to accompany your week : 24 hours of sound in the Amazonian forest, from sunrise to sunset, within 32 minutes.
