No, air stewards don't have the monopoly of the silk scarf. Let me show you that you can combine it daily to a lot of outfits, despite its sometimes old-fashioned reputation. We imagined a brand new collection of silk scarves for Christmas, guaranteed colorful and traditionaly made, to put some new pieces under the Christmas tree (near to an iconic cashmere scarf or necktie). I would also like to share with you my Christmas wishlist: the opportunity to improve your French skills and to visit your record shop next door.
JAGGER's OR BELMONDO's KNOT
Tie knots have nicknames according to their size or inventor. The silk scarf should deserve the same treatment ; because it fits all styles and it catches the eye with its elegance. Depending on the knot chosen, the number of turns around the neck, it tells a different story.
That is why I like this piece very much : one can wear it with all kind of outfits ; just a t-shirt, a denim shirt or a jacket... Due to the COVID, we decided to launch the Grand Pan collection with a special photo shoot without models. Still, we had great fun styling each look, playing with some of my wardrobe favorites. From the vintage French fireman jacket, to the long US Army kaki coat (Korean war), to the 80's Patagonia down jacket, there are lots of matching outfits with our Grand Pan scarves..
4 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD PUT IT UNDER YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE

The choice between 2 generous sizes :
We propose 2 sizes : the classic 90 square (90cmx90cm / 35.4x35.4 inches) and a bandana (62x62cm / 24.4x24.4 inches). Our bandana has a more generous size compared to the traditional bandana (between 50 and 55cm / bewtween 19.6 and 21.6 inches). It allows a lot more knots options.
Our iconic pattern :
Our Grand Pan signature pattern on the background evokes the blade and tipping of the necktie. With this elegant and graphic print we also created bow ties, neckties and pocket squares, using a more heavy silk twill : 130g/m2 to have bow ties and ties with a nice, stiff shape whereas the scarves have to be soft and fluid. Our 70's flying saucers drawings were also invited on several pieces. They are invisible when the bandanas and scarves are worn.
The handmade finish :
All our scarves have contrasted edges hand rolled in France near Lyon.

Several books to improve your French skills :
Bleu, un océan de solutions (meaning : Blue, an ocean of solutions) written by Maud Fontenoy and Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Yann is a world famous photographer and Maud is an adventurer, she paddled through the Pacific ocean alone! Together they release this book describing all the interesting solutions the ocean can provide to solve the global warming issue.
Did you hear about the Vendee Globe, the greatest sailing race round the world, solo, non-stop and without assistance? Well, some of the competitors are currently sailing along the French Kerguelen Islands close to Antarctica. A good opportunity to discover these wild, very rough but beautiful islands through this remarkable comic : Voyages aux îles de la Désolation written by Emmanuel Lepage. A very inspiring drawn documentary that follows the author’s journey on a freight ship which is the only connection to the remote French Southern lands, located in the south of the Indian Ocean.

Get offline for several hours and take the opportunity to visit your local record store. Below are my two favorite addresses to add on your check list for your next trip :
- In Montmartre (Paris) - Exodisc: Even during the lockdown, you can go visit the store run by a a very nice couple who are great music experts. You will definitely enjoy this very old small store with a great vinyls selection, in a smoky and good sound atmosphere. Delightful.
- In Chicago (USA), Gramaphone: a well known store with a great electronic music selection. The talented DJ The Blessed Madonna made a great live performance in the store.
